Awesome Song

It isn't exactly my style, but I respect it for what it is. It's an amazing song as well, from as many have said, an amazing game. I gave you the 9 because it's an awesome piece of work (even though by personal taste I would give it a 7.5), but I see the work put into it and it's done well. I wish you would have emphasized a few of the background parts a bit more, and a more dramatic entrance on parts would have given my ear what it wanted to hear, but it's still a great piece.

On a side note, to anyone reading,
Goldensun DS is officially in the works right now, it was announced at E3 this year by Nintendo, google it up. Release date is set for Early 2010 I believe.

Awesome Piece

I used this in Gravibounce as you can see on the left. It was front paged on here, newgrounds and various other sites as well. I created a loop as you'll notice, but that bit of the song did wonders to our game. It has the perfect feel I was looking for and the piano is crystal clear. I love how it's mysterious with a hint of hope in there, good stuff. Anyway, thanks again for letting us use it, perhaps we'll use more of your work int he sequel when the time comes.

Awesome

Good stuff, I like how powerful it sounds, good use of strings. The percussion is great as well, perfectly fits in the background and doesn't overpower.

For anyone complaining about it not working as a loop, you need to learn a bit about flash and loops before you complain. First off, you would need to edit the loop regardless, you have to then export it as a WAV because flash will CREATE space in an mp3 file, so regardless you need to open up audacity or whatever to use this as a loop at all. It takes 2 minutes if that to edit this piece into a perfectly running loop from there.

Anyway, awesome piece, good job.

Awesome

Love the panflute, Chronamut uses them a lot in his music, they have an amazing sound, my favorite sounding instrument I believe. They are in fact used a lot in the golden sun series sound track, so that's why the reviewer below recognized golden sun in there :)

Anyway, the track itself is great. It's very adventurous sounding. I like how it sounds a bit upbeat at times, and a bit like burden is taking over at others. The quality is perfect to my ears with these headphones and the song progresses well. Overall a great piece, I'm gonna download it and toss it on my Nintendo DS, keep up the good work.

Kimken responds:

You think it's that good? Maybe this is one of my greatest pieces then..

Oh the flutes, okay. I was wondering how it would sound like something from that game.. Actually played the game for a few hours just to hear music from it :). But that was a while ago and I can't remember what it sounded like.

While I made this, I discovered that when you create something with feelings, it always turns up to be great.

hehe

Well, it's not exactly my kind of music, even for metal but it has it's parts. The piano is awesome, I can't deny that. The overall structure of the piece is well done. Reminds of so many mosh pits of back in the day, mmm those shows were fun. What's interesting is, is that I did work on the 1 entry this song is found in, and I wasn't even aware it was yours until now hehe.

Anyway, I just realized you have a new piece out so I'm gonna go listen to that, keep em coming.

Great job

Love how you stayed true to the original yet used your own arrangement here. I can also hear the background string parts a lot better then I could in the original, sounds nice. Goldensun was definitely one of my all time favorite games, spent 200+ hours just on getting all characters to level 99 in the first game even though you beat the game around 30 or so, good times. Great piece here, downloaded and 5'd.

Great Stuff

I love the piece overall, it's on par, if not above all your other work I've heard. I especially like the story behind it, it was a nice short read with a lot of meaning. It's nice to know there's still relationships out there between father and son in which something like this song can happen, seems like something you only hear or see in a Disney movie. I love the use of the violin in there, it goes very well with the piano and the other synth like noises you have in the background. It also gives it that home kind of feel that this song is suppose to support, I think the violin really helps give that. the piano is as crisp and flowing as ever, you've never failed pulling that off. Overall it's a great piece, as I said one of your best.

Upbeat ftw

I love how upbeat this song is, it definitely gives inspiration and just throws you in an upbeat positive mood. The piano fits very well with the synth sounds later on. As in your other songs, the base once again kicks ass. I don't know what your doing there (no experience yet with percussion in FL studio) but that base is fantastic, more so in your haddaway mix, but very well done in this as well. I just let this play in the background for about 20 minutes, good stuff. Anyway, keep it up, I like your work and see it's progressing.

Sick base

Awesome song, and I think you missed your one week deadline back in 07 :P

The piano needs something else to it to stand out, perhaps another instrument along side, or a filter of sorts to amp up the sound. The base however, that is a powerful sound you have going there. Where did you get that VST? I would love to mess around with the sound you used as base, it's awesome. If you scratched the piano sound and found something better, or just altered it in some way as mentioned above, you would have some very awesome music on your hand. It's already pretty damn sweet with that base line. Message me with info on that base sound if you can, I'd love to hear back from ya on that. Awesome work overall, I'll go check out some of your new stuff now.

Holy Shit

This is easily within the top 3 remixes I've ever heard, quite possibly the #1 remix if I was to really think about it. Anyway, I cam across this from checking out Realmguys profile, saw this as a favorite song and trusted judgment, damn was he right. You have SO much going on at once, yet it all sounds amazing together. The instrument selection is superb, and the quality amazingly clear for the amount of sounds going on all at once. The style is incredible as well, you stray off the path of the original song very much, yet keep true to the original in many ways while adding in a new taste of remix that I've never really heard, it's hard to explain. Throwing in other bits of SMW songs was a great idea and it works wonders. Anyway, love this song, one of my favorite newgrounds songs of all time for sure, I checked out all of your other work (site as well) and you've got serious skills. I'll be keeping an eye out for new music from you, in the mean time I'm gonna vote your music up each day so the rest of the site can hear it's awesomeness.
