After 7 months of hard ass work, along with many college delays, it's finally completed. It's in the portal now check it out. Read my last post for some details on the game, or just play it until you know it inside out.

BE SURE TO COMPLETE THE GAME, THERE ARE SOME SWEET UNLOCKABLES.

Leave a review, vote fairly and enjoy, peace

Here our some features of the upcoming title Stabika Episode 3.

First off we've got the normal adventure mode. The action packed A,S,D, LEFT, UP, RIGHT cinemas. This time around there is a lot more story and everything runs MUCH smoother. There's a nice plot twist 2 which I'm sure fans of the series will enjoy.

Now on to my favorite part. Defiance mode.

Defiance mode offers 5 levels of full control over kade, some features include,

Wall jumps
grinding rails
hanging on tracked "gliders" that go from point A to point B at quick rates.
kick ass AI
Health expansion system
High score system
Health regeneration system
Very, VERY cool combo attacking system.

and much more.

Heres some info on the AI.

The AI took me a very long time to code, it was probably the hardest thing I've ever coded. Enemies are fully aware of Kade when you are in their range, and will follow you around once you've been spotted. There is an "Alert" Icon on the HUD that let's you know when an enemy knows where you are. The AI is also very hard, capable of combing themselves and just all around pretty decent. They will strike upwards at you if you are doing a drop kick to them, attack the ground if you are ducking. I don't wanna go into much more detail on them, but I'm very proud of the work and they'll be sure to kick your ass when you play.

The high score system is a combination of the time it takes you to complete the 5 levels, and a number of other minor things. It's a little complicated to explain, but it will be a very diverse score board and I am highly anticipating the scores that fans will be able to reach.

The combing system allows you to attack with A and S in a number of ways. A will use longer ranged attacks with Kade's dagger tail, while S is closer ranged punches and kicks. You can mix this up in a large variety of ways such as 2 punches, a blade attack more punches and never stop combing. It's pretty in depth and you'll just have to play it to get the feel for what I mean. Aside from that you can do ducking attacks and an aerial drop kick. It's pretty sweet.

We also feature an array of voice acting this time around, not sure on all names so I'll that up to the credits. Either way all voice actors/actresses did a very fine job and really bring some more life to the game with some quality acting. You'll also get to hear kade speak..... it's going to blow your mind. (I promise it's more then 1 word :P)

If I get enough responses on this I'll update some of the other features and go into more detail on the ones already here. Peace.

So the 18th is my 20th B-day. To celebrate, I made my first cash contribution to the newgrounds store and bought myself a black newgrounds logo shirt, I figured anyone who spends roughly an hour on the site nearly every day should probably do so.

Aside from my contribution to the store, I'm having a giant party at my place. By giant I mean roughly 35-50 people in a 3 bedroom house. We have a shit ton of liquor and beer, and a lot of people coming. My actual room has a bar built in (I live in the basement room) and we have a really nice stereo system setup. Anyway, just thought I would record the wonders of my life on here so that when I release Stabika 3 and my new puzzle game and become famous, someone can come and check out what my life was like prior to massive internet fame :P

peace out,

Porter

EDIT

"I'm never drinking again" :P

So tonight I came up with a really sweet equation and AS set up to control volume depending on how far away from on object the player is. It may not sound like much, or maybe it does but I was incredibly happy with the results.

Heres an example, an NPC (non playable character) could be talking to you about something in town, you could walk away while this character is talking to you and there voice would fade as you distanced yourself, and mid conversation you can walk back over and the conversation will get louder and continue as if you never left. It really does add a certain level of realism. To say the least I'm proud of my work and the fact that I stayed up to 5 AM to master it :)

peace out,

Well, Stabika 3 is well on it's way and it will most definitely be a nice kick off to 08. My goals for this year are daily 1st place, a few front page appearances, and at least 3 more sponsored games. Hopefully by the end of this year I will expand my coding knowledge into AS3.0, I've explored it a little then let go, maybe this is the year where I shall indulge myself in it. Well, keep an eye out for stabika 3, or just check the front page sometime next month :P

I REALLY need some help finding some good sources for learning how to program Tetris. I have to finish this for a project due in 2 days and I have enough time to do the work, I just can't find a good tutorial or FLA to learn from. If anyone can help me, or give me some links to a tetris tutorial I would love them forever.

Stabika Episode 3 is coming along awesome. The engine is nearing completion, the classic style is nearly completed and the Level designs are nearly complete as well. The main coding problems are out of the way, only a few will remain. The AI is at a basic level, but it's coming along and will be very in depth. Overall, episode 3 is going to be by far better then the first 2, and will finally bring on the ability of full control to Kade for the player. Keep an eye out =)

So I've just started my first solo project as of late, haven't done one in over a year. I made some decent cash from stabika 2 and i'd like to see what I'm capable of on my own, for financial reasons and as a personal test to myself.

Not much info on the game, just gonna say its going to be a puzzle type game, but more action then a game like tetris or any of those games, you'll be involved far more then useing your head and spending lots of time thinking things over, you'll do all that and have to react quickly and change things up depending on what may happen. It should be lots of fun in the end, still developing the engine as of now and doing the basic structure scripting.

Also music will be featured by Mike Taylor, look him up, he has a few things here on newgrounds and alot more not on newgrounds, I hope to see some nice loops in this game from him.

Well, not sure how known I am for being the programmer of the stabika series, but yep, thats me.
Tonight is a great night, I just completed the finishing touches on episode 2 and it is now 100% complete.
I can honestly say this is by far my best piece of work to date, and the programming that went into it is much more advanced then anything I thought possible of myself half a year ago. Well theres a lot of new features in episode 2 and im very proud of everything it has to offer.
It will be released very shortly within the next few days I hope, so keep an eye out and enjoy!

So we finally released the first episode of the interactive movie Stabika series. It seemed like yesterday I jumped on as programmer to this project just by helping Millz out in the forums, then later asking to take it on fully as coder. Now some time later we have a finished game and a laaaaaaaarge start on some great extras for the second game, I wont say what but I will say the extra secret we have up our sleeves is LARGER by far then the first game itself, and it will be just part of what the second episode has to offer.

Any questions on the coding or advice for the next episodes let us know, im more then happy to read advise or help people out.

Keep your eye opened for the release of episode 2, it really will be bigger and better with different game play modes that differ entirely from each other.
