Nice animation! The art / animation is a little rough around the edges at times, but the overall camera angles, sense of action, and movement are very good. Work on the contrast of text / titles - for instance, add a black slightly transparent background behind the subtitles, and it would look much better / make the text pop more. You could even add a simple button to show / hide the subtitles, which would be a nice touch.

Also, great use of my song "Shifting Sands". I pictured a desert when I made it, and it was really cool to see it used in exactly that way. Keep up the good work, you'll only get better as you go :)

Hey man

It turned out awesome as is, I hated seeing it as this and not a game but shit happens. I won't bother flooding this review with reasons why I couldn't take this on, so here's some feedback. The animation was good all the way through, only part that really bugged me was the credits floating up too quickly. The scientists was a bit hard to hear, but I manged to make out what he was saying with head phones on, wasn't too bad. The Eel chase scene is what really felt like a game for me, at that point I flashed back to programming moving Maddex around, that scene was pretty intense. Not as much animal torturing as you were going to have in the game, but I guess it's good you have a change a pace from your recent works hehe. Overall it turned out pretty bad ass, honestly sorry I couldn't get it where we wanted it back in the day, I'll blame myself and the wonderful world of hard drive failure. Hope life's okay for ya, newgrounds reputation seems to be doing ok. Send me a PM sometime if you want, I don't use AIM anymore. Peace,

Appreciate it man. Where have you been? Like you dropped off the planet for a while there...

Wow

I know that there's always someone out there who will claim to be able to relate perfectly to the video, but I didn't expect it to be me. I myself just got done relationship of over 2 years recently, but entirely got over it just an hour or so ago before watching this. I had already moved on with my side, and tried to set my mind straight and was doing pretty well, but there was a bit of hesitation in there somewhere. I talked to the girl tonight about it and she for the first time finally apologized for everything, and we really set things straight and are friends again, just an hour before watching this video. I'm not one to say everything happens for a reason, or that I was meant to watch this movie now, but sometimes you just have to wonder because man could I relate so deeply to this after just having all this happen so soon ago.

As for the movie, amazing expression of feelings through animation, you did a great job there. The art style really worked for me, it was that quickly drawn sketchy style, but you didn't do it so fast that things looked bad, or out of place, it was just right for me. the characters looked really good, and the song worked perfectly for the story depicted in the animation, or rather the animation worked perfectly for the song. The animation was at times a bit rough, but that was the style, this was no 40 fps crazy animation, this was a well done rough yet styled animation of a music video, and it came out great. I can see you going somewhere with all this, and even if you don't, don't ever stop doing what makes you happy for any reason, keep it up.

I did not think my animation would be that deep, but I'm happy it is. Thanks for the comment!

Epic

The beginning story kept me pretty damn entertained and it was just still screens (although they looked great). As soon as the animation came in I knew it was gonna be awesome. The randomness of the stupid joke and the way he exploded immedietly after was awesome. The overall story was just random and refreshing, and very well put together. Awesome job. As for the guy below me (at least at the time) you took this way to seriously man, it was great, stop looking deep into it for answers about life and enjoy the animation for what it is, hilarious.

Loved it

I loved the fast paced action throughout the entire thing. It was definitely eye candy and I don't really listen to the genre of music, I actually liked the track you used, it was really upbeat. Overall, awesome animation, nice structure to the entire thing and great effort.

That was really touching

Thanks for that, definitely got to me. I didn't expect the ending at all and when it came, it kinda hit me like someone dropped a bomb on me, and that's just thinking about it, I can't imagine what it's like to be going through it, let it alone see everyone else around you also go through it. Thanks for this, this should be seen by everyone.

Good stuff

The quality was that of on TV, although I hate to say that because I hate TV, but you get what I mean. It was top notch, it was cute, and it was executed in the perfect time frame, not to short, not to fast, yet kept a story. Awesome job, I can see you going into a proffesion with this quality of work.

Epic

The flash skills overall I would give a 7/10, but the flash itself was just awesome. It's length was great, the story presented was enjoyable and there was epic rock battleness going on. Great job.

Awesome

Music, coding and animation all thrown into one, what more is needed?
I love that it was programmed and not just animated, I was telling my roommate that I thought it was programmed and he's like, no way, it's probably just animated, and I was like, no man, I can bet you anything. Anyway, as a game programmer I respect any awesome working code, and that's what you have in here. Overall, it was fun to watch and I'm very eager to see this next project you have on it's way.

As for a T-shirt, I'm on the poor end right now so as of now, no I wouldn't personally buy one, but let's see how this next project comes along and we'll talk. Aside from me not buying, I'm willing to bet some people would, but I still say get that next project done before you think about that, awesome work all around, peace.

I'm a flash game developer and programmer. My inspiration for game design generally comes from the NES/SNES days, but I've touched basically all there is and enjoy anything that's fun. I'm also the owner of Gemfruit Studios.
