Hey Newgrounds,
King (creaters of Candy Crush Saga) have been maing headlines as of late due to their trademarking of the word "Candy". On top of that, evidence has come forward that they knowingly ripped off / cloned a game in 2009, which has been getting a lot of buzz around the internet. Im the developer who was contracted for cloned game, and have since been contacted by news outlsets such as GameInformer, VentureBeat, and Gameasutra.
King has been caught red handed lying about its past, while it continues to use its massive legal weight to bully game developers. This story is extremely important to the future rights of all content creators, especially game developers, and I'd love to get as much attention to this as possible.
For the full story, read th original article by Mathew Cox, or check out my personal write up. Please chime in and help spread the word. Thanks for being an awesome member of the Newgrounds community, and for taking the time to read this,
UPDATE #1 I'm now front-paged on Gamasutra, you can read the full article here.

Most phone games are at their core complete rip-offs of the cookie cutter bullshit that nobody likes on here, and nobody HAS liked on here for a long time.
Just a shame one of the developers had the balls to think they were hot shit because a bunch of people were amused on the toilet.
