So fucking dumb, and I'm just the right amount of drunk to give this a perfect 5.

TheMillz responds:

Alcohol, is there anything it can't do?

EDIT-- BTW how are things Matt? Been so long we should catch up. What have you been making game wise? I've been killing it on Gamejolt as my alter ego Suits n' Nukes. Maybe we could collab on something again, like old times?

To this day, this is still my favorite Smithy theme out there. I used to have it downloaded on an old computer, and just now thought, where is that song? Why isn't it in my favorites? One quick search brought it up, and it's now in my favorites where it belongs - great job again~

There should have been a midnight sing along to this at Pico Day, with lyrics on the projector near the Twitch stream. My dreams and aspirations for next year aside, great work, I like it a lot.

Step responds:

Hahaha that would've been awesome. Glad you liked it!

We're working on another singalong if you're interested. The song we're covering is Summer of 69 this time round! Should be all done within a few weeks.

Someone has officially worked out to this track ;)

SoLoR1 responds:

I know!! This is such a good acapella and it seemed to me no one wanted to use it, thank you for your feedback!!

Awesome piece, I love it! Parts of this feel like it could be in the intro to a World Ends With You sequel :D

headphoamz responds:

Rad! Thanks a lot Matt. :)

I love how upbeat this is, it definitely brings a smile to the face. Amazing use of sounds, great melody, and a lot of depth here. Side note, this reminds me of the song "I Heart 8-bit", which I also love.

I popped this on for the first time upon waking up, and I instantly turned my speakers up all the way - needless to say, my day has been properly started with a :)

VGSongbird responds:

Yay! Always happy to hear that. Thanks for listening! :D

First off, amazing piece of music here, you captured the feel of Shatterhand excellently. The percussion was very well balanced as far as volume goes, and got the job done. The sounds used for the main melody are excellent, and really helped drive the piece.

Secondly, I had no idea area C was different in the Japanese version. I just did some research, because I absolutely love the NES game, but had no idea what you were talking about when you said "amusement park" theme. I'll have to try out the Japanese version to see all the changes.

ShAdOxViRuS responds:

Haha, to be honest, I didn't even play Shatterhand.
I just really dig the music, so I made this.

Thanks for listening, and I'm glad you enjoy it!

I absolutely love when people laugh at their own work, and I'm glad you didn't edit it out. Excellent piece of work here, made me laugh quite a few times.

This song brings an incredible amount of imagery to me. The first thing that comes to mind, is riding a sky train through a highly futuristic city, perhaps heading towards some intense showdown of sorts.

As for as the music goes, I love the instrument usage, and the melody is extremely catchy. This will definitely be going on my Droid; glad to see you're writing again.

This sounds like something you'd hear in "Streets of Rage", which is awesome. Nice use of instruments, and I love the melody. Keep it up, can't wait to see how it turns out.

I'm a flash game developer and programmer. My inspiration for game design generally comes from the NES/SNES days, but I've touched basically all there is and enjoy anything that's fun. I'm also the owner of Gemfruit Studios.
